Common Faults

Door Jammed
Stiff or floppy door handles.
Door unlocks but door won’t open.
Key won’t come out of lock after locking.
Excess force is required to open, close and lock your door.
Badly glazed door gradually lets lock side drop.
In warmer weather most UPVC doors, and especially the darker colour ones, will expand and become stiff to close. If this is not adjusted properly excessive force will cause the mechanism to break and you will either be locked in or out.

Superb service from Nigel. Phoned him Thursday morning about a problem with my front door. I provided a picture of the door as requested. Nigel knew straight away what the problem was. Thankfully, he was able to visit later that day and fix the problem. He even rectified another problem I had with some French windows at the same time. It's so rare these days to meet a tradesman who is good at what they do and take pride in their work.
